As the first of two sharing sessions, this “Democracy Classroom” focuses on our democratic participation research. Specifically, it takes into account the different ways in which feminism is practiced and conceptualized, and specifically draws upon Myanmar’s context and New Naratif’s researcher’s personal experience. There will also be some discussion on how we deploy research as activism through our work. Rather than being a passive hybrid session, our featured guests will facilitate a conversation on what such participation looks like, drawing from their specific backgrounds and practice.
