As the second of two collaborative sessions, this “Democracy Classroom” focuses on our media freedom insights. Specifically, we take into consideration the challenges faced by newsmakers and the prospects for digital transformation, networking, and activism. Through these discussions, we hope to shed light on the broader issue of democracy as a lived practice through media work, which is interwoven with gender and our respective regional contexts – in line with our goal of research as activism.
